Hi, I’m Michael Papanek and my Life’s Work brings to life the legacy of my grandfather Kurt Lewin. Yes, Kurt Lewin, the famous psychologist known as a founding father of organizational development.
He was a change maker and so am I. Since I was born the legacy of his work inspired my life and career.
Would you like to know how my background and experience can benefit your organization, your teams and your leaders?
Contact me and let’s start a conversation.
I grew up learning about my grandfather’s work at a very young age. His famous study of Leadership Styles, the Force Field Analysis, Field Theory and the three-stage change models that he developed shaped my thinking and sparked my interest in organizational development. However, I did not start out in this field: my first roles were in technology as a systems engineer and manager at General Motors, designing and running large scale IT systems. It was there I learned that leadership and teamwork were just as important as technical skills. That is why I moved back into “the family business.”
Early on in my career as a Consultant and Leadership Coach, I used Lewin’s models and strategies and realized the powerful connection between resilient relationships and successful change; especially when facing the biggest, boldest challenges or most disruptive innovations.
This is why I’ve spent years studying this link, researching it and finally publishing the results in my book “From Breakdown to Breakthrough“
